Donald Bohanon: Because although not labeled “featured” as some of the other posts are they have been placed on the featured list. This places older posts above many of the newer posts.
This is done to ensure those “featured” posts get views because of their importance. Although the dates align with when the posts were actually posted, the fact that they have been placed on the “featured” list gives them a higher position over even some of the newer posts.
