Q&A: Can You Explain What Death Is In As Few Words As Possible?

Question:Can You Explain What Death Is In As Few Words As Possible?

Donald Bohanon: I will try to partially answer the question with a question.Do you have any recollection of where you were or what you were doing before you came to the realization that you were a living breathing creature? If your answer is no….that is the answer to your question.

That state of unawareness of anything-of no recollection of your past before you came to realize you existed is what death is.Which is also supported by Ecclesiastes 9:5.Death is simply a state of unconsciousness,a state of non existence.

The same state you were in before you were conceived and were born a living creation or creature. You simply didn’t exist and therefore knew nothing and weren’t aware of anything.

The spirit separate from the body is unconscious and the body separate from the spirit is unconscious. The body at death goes back to the dirt or dust and the spirit goes back to God who gave it Ecclesiastes 12:7. Death is simply a state of unawareness, unconsciousness and non existence.Until you are resurrected to be judged. Hebrews 9:27.

Ecclesiastes 9:5

For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

Ecclesiastes 12:7

Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
