Q&A: Do You Teach A Different Doctrine Than What The Other Churches Of God Teach?

Question:Do You Teach A Different Doctrine Than What The Other Churches Of God Teach?

Donald Bohanon: I teach the doctrine that Christ and God taught and that is to keep the commandments, the holy days, and to follow the word of God as a whole. The difference is, they teach that all men will be reconciled back to God, no matter how much abominable evil they had engaged in.

And that is not at all supported by the word of God. The Bible is implicit when emphasizing the wicked, ungodly and hater of God, will be destroyed. It leaves no room for error when outlining that biblical fact and truth.

I believe that mankind as a whole will be reconciled back to God, but I teach that the wicked, ungodly and hater of God (which is a different class of individual and a higher level of evil) will be destroyed.

That’s the primary difference. They teach these individuals no matter how wicked, will be given another chance because they had never been taught the true gospel.

But the Bible dispels that belief in Romans 2:12 by emphasizing that as many as  have sinned without the law will also perish or die without it, and as many who have sinned in the law will be judged by it .

Because those who didn’t have the law will be judged by their consciences, and that conscience will either accuse or excuse them…Romans 2:14-15 also notice Acts 17:30-31.

Acts 17:30-31

King James Version (KJV)

30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

Romans 2:14-15

King James Version (KJV)

14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another

Emphasis on punishment and destruction of the wicked is further supported by numerous other verses in scripture, notice…Deuteronomy 7:10, Psalms 21:8-9, Psalms 92:6-7, Proverbs 11:21, Malachi 4:1, Matthew 13:49-50.

Deuteronomy 7:10

King James Version (KJV)

10 And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.

Psalm 21:8-9

King James Version (KJV)

8 Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.

9 Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the Lord shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

Psalm 92:6-7

King James Version (KJV)

6 A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.

7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever

Proverbs 11:21

King James Version (KJV)

21 Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

Malachi 4:1

King James Version (KJV)

4 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

Matthew 13:49-50

King James Version (KJV)

49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

For more information listen to the audio below entitled “Are You A Hater Of God?”. So to answer your question, no I don’t teach a different doctrine, I teach everything they teach but with the exception that all men will receive salvation.

My position is that the wicked will be destroyed and I have proven that without a shadow of a doubt, with a preponderant amount  of scripture, which fully supports my position. Anyone who would allow themselves to be convinced otherwise, in the face of so much overwhelming biblical proof, will die self condemned because they put their trust in the words of men, and rejected what was clearly outlined in God’s word.

That is a part of what it means in Revelation 21:7-8, when it says the unbelieving will have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone. Those who didn’t believe the truth and consequences as outlined in the Bible, as it related to certain behaviors, and because of it continued to engage in that very offensive behavior,( because of their unbelief ) will be  destroyed because of that unbelief, and because of the abominable rebellion that unbelief produced.

They base their belief on the holy day teaching, which is formed based on a few verses in scripture, but they appear to disregard the disproportionate amount of scripture that teaches otherwise.

It’s almost as if, in many respects, they’re elevating Mr. Armstrong’s teachings above the word of God, as it relates to this issue anyway. And if that’s the case whether knowingly or unknowingly it’s not good.

But let me emphasize once again that I have no hate or dislike for fellow servants, only a disagreement. I will try to never allow myself be drawn into name calling and overly critical behavior and actions against other fellow servants. And if they are wise neither will they……Matthew 24:48-52.

But something tells me (and I may be wrong) their clinging to that teaching is somehow motivated by their ability to continue to operate under a particular tax status. But I may be wrong. But to clarify once again I don’t teach a different doctrine, only a different outcome for the wicked.

Are You A Hater Of God?

What is a hater of God, and what determines how you really feel about God? Does a verbal acceptance of Christ  determine if you really love God, or is it much more than that?

Did you know that God promises in his word to repay all them that hate him to their face to destroy  them ? Deuteronomy 7:10, Psalms 21:8-9, also notice Malachi4:1, Matthew 13:41-43, Matthew 13:49-50. Jesus own words.

Jesus himself said that broad or wide, expansive, big  is the way that leads to destruction, and many go in, or many are destroyed. But straight and narrow is the way that leads to life and few find it. Are we not to believe God/Christ himself!? Notice Matthew 7:13-14.

In light of such an ominous prophecy I think it is important for us to determine what exactly  constitutes a hater of God. So how can you really know if you are a hater of God or not?

What determines if you love, respect, or just outright hate God? In this audio I mention that over 3 billion people will die in the coming events I mentioned 1/3 of the population but obviously what I meant was 3/4 of the earths population will perish.

And my reference to the number of people who inhabit the earth was wrong as well, that was a slight error  because I think as it presently stands the earths population is around 6-7 billion sorry if I confused anyone just speaking a little too fast. As it presently stands I don’t  read from a teleprompter, or pre written text, as many others do when teaching from the Bible. I teach on the fly, and ad lib, and because of it I’m more prone to speaking errors.
