Matthew 24:24 – Who Is It Talking About?

Leviticus 18:22

Leviticus 20:13

Leviticus 19:15

Isaiah 61:8

Matthew 23:23

Romans 1:26-32

John 7:24

Ephesians 5:10-13

Matthew 24:24 Is a verse in scripture that is quoted frequently but what does it mean and who is it talking about? As often as it is quoted, it is misinterpreted just as often. Contrary to the gross misinterpretation of false ministers, in actuality, the verse is speaking about what would take place after Christ was crucified.

He was warning his disciples to beware because there would be false prophets who would arise and do mighty miracles so much so that if it were possible they would deceive the very elect, this warning is specifically directed at his servants or disciples in the end time, right before his return.

Christ is actually talking about two distinct time periods, one is immediately after he is crucified and what would take place immediately after that, and as true followers of Christ know, many false prophets arose teaching false doctrines that were the complete opposite of what Christ taught and they deceived many.

The other specific time period refers to a time immediately before Christ returns, this is specifically centered around the last days right before Christ’s second coming, and is specifically talking about many minor false prophets some claiming to be Christ and or God himself. Others claiming to represent Christ but deceiving many by teaching a false biblically contrasting doctrine, that promotes and encourages rebellion against God, his commandments and his word.

As well as a prominent great false prophet who teaches the same or a similar false doctrine that is universally accepted as God’s true doctrine. A man who would arise and do mighty miracles.

This prophet stands out from the other false prophets who teach false doctrines because of the mighty miracles he performs, in that he summons fire from heaven and does many other miracles so powerful and so impressive that he deceives the masses or the majority of people. And if it were possible he would deceive the very elect. But the very elect can’t be deceived into following false doctrines,  false prophets, false Christs or by mighty miracles, or else they wouldn’t be the very elect.

Matthew 24:24

King James Version (KJV)

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Revelation 13:13-16

King James Version (KJV)

13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

It’s important that you have the biblical knowledge and understanding to properly interpret this verse because it can be twisted in so many ways. And it will most certainly be twisted in these end times by false representatives of Christ to deceive people about God’s true servants who follow the commandments and the Bible/the doctrines of God and Christ.

As well as the end-time Elijah, to make it appear that the true servants of God are false prophets and the end-time Elijah is a false prophet based on the mighty works he shall do.

But it’s important to understand that the great false prophet mentioned Revelation 13:13-16 , and the end time Elijah mentioned in Malachi 4:5-6 will both do mighty works, and it is important that you know how to distinguish the two lest you be terribly deceived.

The difference is one will be empowered by Lucifer and the other will be empowered by God. But how can we really know who is who? The Bible specifically tells us that the great false prophet will summon fire from heaven and deceive the masses, because of this many will mistake this man for the end-time Elijah.

Because the Elijah of the old testament also summoned fire from heaven, 1 Kings 18:22-39, 2 Kings 1:8-10, but the Bible clearly informs us that this is not how we are to identify the end-time Elijah of Malachi 4:5-6 or any of God’s prophets in the end time.

We are clearly informed by scripture in Revelation 13:13-16, that this man in the end time who will summon fire from heaven will be the great false prophet and he will follow and be empowered by Satan.

The end-time Elijah will come in the last days informing  a deceived world that they need to repent of terribly offensive sins that God’s word powerfully condemns, or else face the fierce wrath of almighty God.

False prophets and the great false prophet will be condoning and supporting the same sins and behaviors that offend God but under the false cloak of love, acceptance, and tolerance, of  God offending, abominable,  perverse behavior. Essentially calling evil good and good evil, thereby greatly offending God, and bringing the fierce wrath and physical and spiritual destruction from God upon them for doing so, and upon those that follow them.  Isaiah 5:20-25, Proverbs 17:15, 2Peter 2:1-3.

Deceiving those who don’t fully understand the Bible’s true definition of love, which is first and foremost to love God above all else and to love your neighbor as yourself.  And loving God above all else and loving your neighbor as yourself are not expressed by disobeying God’s word and supporting behaviors that his word clearly condemns.

Behaviors that undermine and destroy societies, men, women and children, and that greatly offend and anger God. And incidentally the Bible says love is defined by keeping the commandments Romans 13:8-10 and obviously the word of God as a whole, also notice St John 14:20-24, St John 15:10,1 John 2:3-6.

Key Identifying Factors

The Great False Prophet.

The great false prophet will summon fire from heaven and perform great miracles that will deceive most of the world Revelation 13:13-16. And he will promote a false doctrine that places emphasis on Sunday worship which is not Gods sabbath ( sunset Friday to sunset Saturday is God’s Sabbath) and in doing so  defy God and his authority outright.

He will also be loved and adored by the world as most or all false prophets are.. notice  Matthew 10:34-36, Luke 6:20-26, John 15:18-20,1 John 3:13. True prophets and servants of God are hated and rejected by this world and even by their own family in many instances.

The End-Time Elijah.

The end-time Elijah will come right before the coming great and terrible day of the lord Malachi 4:5-6 and will be turning the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers.

He will perform miracles also but he will do these things under the power and authority of God. The things that are contrary to the word of God he will speak out against especially the more offensive abominable sins.

He will not embrace, support and promote these things to be loved and accepted by the world, he is concerned with only pleasing and being accepted by God, not by the world.

He will stand in defiance of an ungodly world because he stands on the word of God. And one of the most important key points is he will teach the doctrines of God and Christ not the doctrines of men. These are the key points by which you will be able to identify and separate them.

This is how you will be able to identify and separate them. It is not really difficult when you focus on the key points, doctrine, works, and message. What doctrine are they teaching, what works are they performing, and what message are they proclaiming?

Malachi 4:5-6

King James Version (KJV)

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:

And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

2 John 1:9-11

King James Version (KJV)

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

 The End-Time Elijah: Malachi 4:5-6.

He will be turning the hearts of the fathers to the children and vice versa and he will be emphasizing a departure from all abominable sins that greatly anger God, not embracing, supporting and encouraging participation in behaviors that are contrary to God’s word and that greatly anger him.

He will also be emphasizing obedience to the true doctrines of God and Christ, God’s doctrine,2 John 1:9-11, and his power and authority will come from God. He will be expressing his love and concern for mankind by guiding him in the right direction that leads to favor from God and life.As opposed to encouraging men to disobey God and his word which leads to sorrow, suffering,  physical and spiritual death. This man will be loved by God because he stands on the word of God, and in defiance of an ungodly world.

The Great False Prophet: Revelation 13:13-1.

Will be encouraging others to defy God and his word by embracing and supporting behavior that greatly angers God. He will be teaching  a doctrine that is contrary to the doctrine that Christ taught a doctrine which falsely recognizes Sunday as God’s sabbath as well as the celebration of pagan religious holidays.

He will be the head of a great false religious institution the most powerful and widely recognized religious institution on earth and will ultimately before it’s all said and done be involved in an unholy union of church and state.  He will be supporting and encouraging behavior that the Bible powerfully condemns to be loved and accepted by the world.

He will summon fire from heaven and in so doing deceive the masses into believing that he is God’s man but in reality, his power will come directly from Satan. In addition he will be  telling the masses what they want to hear as opposed to what God’s word says.

He will say and do what is pleasing in the eyes of the world to be accepted by the world. He will twist God’s word to make it appear to be saying something that it is not and based on all this deception secure the support and love of the masses. This man is loved by the world but hated by God.

The Importance Of Doctrine.

Image result for DOCTRINE

Is doctrine really important? I was recently asked by a woman why do you emphasize doctrine? as if to suggest teaching doctrine is wrong or biblically condemned, but the truth of the matter is doctrine is very very important and is the cornerstone of true Christianity.

Many people have been taught by self proclaimed ministers that doctrine should not be taught, and ones focus should only be on Christ, but in 2 John 1:9-11 God informs us that the man or woman who does not have the doctrine that God taught does not have the father or the son.

Doctrine is so important in the eyes of God that he says if you don’t have his doctrine the doctrine that Christ taught, that God gave to Christ to teach, you don’t have God or Christ.

So based on that clear instruction who are we to believe, are we to believe men who have reduced the relevance of doctrine to insignificance separate from what the Bible teaches?

But if we are to believe God, and what his word teaches, there is no way to get around the importance of doctrine and it’s place as the cornerstone of true Christianity, without true Bible based doctrine there is no such thing as true Christianity.

Without doctrine true Christianity does not exist because true Christianity is founded, established, and created based on the doctrines of God. God’s word teaches us that without the right doctrine, God’s doctrine, you don’t have God or Christ and you are worshipping Christ in vain. Let’s examine scripture to get a clear picture of the importance of true Bible based doctrine, God’s doctrine.
