Kim Davis religious beliefs and her position as county clerk of Rowan County in the state of Kentucky has put her in a precarious position. Her job dictates that she must issue marriage licenses to same sex couples in accordance with state law which I might add has been the result of an unconstitutional Supreme Court ruling.
Her unwillingness to issue marriage licenses to same sex couples has resulted in her being jailed and persecuted on so many levels. But her courage and faith in the midst of such widespread persecution is admirable and commendable.
Her faith and courage in the midst of such hate and persecution which included death threats from sexually perverse liberal opposition, is the example all professing Christians should admire and emulate.
Her willingness to stand for God, righteousness, and what is good and just is truly inspiring. She is suffering now in some respects but she will be rewarded in the future. And those who hated her for her stance against filthy perversion, ungodliness and evil will receive their reward as well.
Although our views on biblical doctrine etc I’m sure differ, her unwillingness to bow down to evil and be forced to go against her convictions is admirable on all levels.
I encourage her to be steadfast and unwavering in her beliefs and position. Her example will encourage and inspire others to take a stand and promote change for the good of the nation. And to also know and take comfort and courage in the fact that she is being prayed for and is supported by millions.
Luke 6:21-25
King James Version (KJV)
21 Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.
22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.
23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
24 But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.
25 Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.
