Q&A:Why Would You Suggest That Rappers Stop Rapping When It Pays Their Bills And Supports Their Families?

Question: Why Would You Suggest That Rappers Stop Rapping When It Pays Their Bills And Supports Their Families?

Donald Bohanon: I don’t suggest rappers stop rapping just clean up the lyrics is the point I’m making. The destructive content contained in the raps is what’s contributing in large part to the violence in urban areas, although they will never admit it because of all the money it brings in.But I’m convinced you can make a hit record with the right hooks, bars and beats and with a positive message.

I’m convinced you can make a hit record rapping about your love of ice cream with the right beats, hooks and bars.Truthfully, and sadly and unfortunately,if they don’t clean it up they won’t have families to take care of  and support after God punishes the nation for the abominable sins of violence, perverted sex and witchcraft, that are widespread and prevalent.

In the golden age of hip hop rappers were making hit records with positive messages in their music.I don’t see why it would be any different today. Just clean up and sanitize the music is my point.

And if not get prepared to ultimately face the wrath of an angry God in the judgment, and in his chastisement and punishment of the nation for it’s sins.A number of which I’m convinced violent rap has been a major contributor. The african american community is such a talented community. It’s unfortunate they in many respects have used such a powerful media platform in such a destructive way for selfish material gain.

To destroy and undermine their own race and communities as they are heavily compensated by wealthy, sexually perverse, covert racists in the music industry with a subversive and destructive agenda,to do just that, in an effort to destroy and undermine America’s moral values.Just as the art form can be used to destroy, it can also be used to guide in the right direction and uplift the community as well.

Below is an example of some positive rap with a message and  is an example of the kind of rap music I’m talking about. Great song with the exception of the young man holding a 12 gauge shotgun in his hand at the beginning. Everything else is good in regards to the young man asking a serious question  about the present state of the black community along with music with good beats, hooks and bars. You need more of this kind of rap music, much more.

Rappers determine the impact the music has on society and the direction the hip hop culture is going based on the music they put out. When you glorify violence and other forms of destructive behavior that will be reflected in the rap culture and in certain segments of society that follow the culture. And conversely, if the messages are positive, healing, uplifting and motivating, that will be reflected as well.

But why is that the case, why must it be used to destroy as opposed to heal, help and uplift? Oh,that’s right I forgot, it’s the money. Many of them it seems instead are laser focused on promoting gangster images which these record companies encourage. When in fact most of them are not, and have never seen any parts of the streets,as they claim. But sadly and unfortunately they do all of this to their detriment and to the detriment of their families and communities…Jeremiah 14:11-16

I’m just giving you the truth in hopes of  preventing  these outcomes. It’s not my desire or wish that these things happen. These things wont come from my hand but from the hand of an angry God.At some point when God is fed up and has had enough not even the requests and prayers of his true prophets and servants will be heard.Just like he told Jeremiah don’t pray to me for these people because he wont hear because of how rebellious and sinful they had become.

Only repenting and turning from the abominable sins would save them at that point…Jeremiah 7:16,Jeremiah 11:14-15.These verses in Jeremiah have duel meaning they applied anciently and they apply today. The people instead listened to false prophets who God had not sent, and who told them no punishment would come upon them, when God’s true prophet was warning them they would be destroyed if they didn’t repent…It resulted in God destroying not just the people but the false prophets as well for leading the people astray…Jeremiah 14:11-16

True prophets were not prophesying or warning about good outcomes as some suggest.Because there would be no good outcome for the wicked if they didn’t repent. They were emphasizing repent first, so they could reap the blessings, but that there would be no good outcomes or blessings without turning from abominable sins.

Like the bible says what does it profit a man to gain the whole worlds riches but lose his own soul?…Mark 8:36. Use the platform to uplift and transform for the better. And if not sadly and unfortunately the very thing they are profiting from will be the very thing that destroys them and everything they love both physically and spiritually,in the judgment and in the God’s coming punishment on the nations.

You see…….pride and bravado in defiance of God are merely illusions, which quickly evaporate in the face of God’s fierce anger and severe punishment. And are quickly replaced with great fear and pleas for mercy and forgiveness. There wont be any pride and bravado from the ungodly and rebellious in God’s coming punishment on the nations, and on the day of judgment. But only great fear and pleas for mercy and forgiveness as all of the pride and bravado quickly evaporates like a drop of water in a searing hot pan, in the face of God’s fierce anger and judgment.

But all that can be prevented  by making a few changes and concessions.Never bow down to the evil  demands of any evil man or group. But submitting to the righteous demands of God who only has our best interest in mind, and who sees what we can’t see and knows the latter end and outcome of actions and behaviors, is always the wise and beneficial thing to do.

Jeremiah 7:16
King James Version (KJV)

16 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.

Jeremiah 11:14-15
King James Version (KJV)

14 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.

15 What hath my beloved to do in mine house, seeing she hath wrought lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from thee? when thou doest evil, then thou rejoicest.

Jeremiah 14:11-16
King James Version (KJV)

11 Then said the Lord unto me, Pray not for this people for their good.

12 When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.

13 Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, the prophets say unto them, Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place.

14 Then the Lord said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

15 Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.

16 And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them.

Mark 8:36
