A Vision for Impact: Raising Funds to Serve the Poor and Build God’s Kingdom

In a world filled with increasing suffering, growing materialism, and spiritual confusion, God is still raising up individuals with a heart for service, compassion for the poor, and a burning desire to share His truth. I have been given a vision—one that centers around raising financial support not for personal gain, but to transform lives through acts of charity and the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This mission is grounded in love, transparency, accountability, and faith. The core goal is simple yet profound: to raise funds that will primarily go toward feeding, clothing, housing, and uplifting the poor, while also building a ministry that spreads God’s Word in truth and power to a lost and dying world. It is a call to action, not just for me—but for all who feel the pull of God’s Spirit to do something more, something eternal.

A Different Kind of Giving

There is an unfortunate trend within many religious organizations today. A significant percentage of the donations received—sometimes as much as 90%—is often retained for administrative costs, salaries, luxurious buildings, luxuries, decadent indulgences, and promotional campaigns. What little is left—often less than 10%—actually reaches the hands of the poor. While not every organization falls into this model, the disillusionment that many believers feel is understandable. People give, and they want to know that their giving is making a real difference.

That is why I am committed to a radically different approach. Of every dollar received in donations, 60% to 70% will go directly to helping the poor—providing them with the basic necessities of life, assisting with medical expenses, shelter, education, food, clean water, and more. The funds will not be siphoned off into bloated infrastructure or personal luxury. Rather, they will be directed toward the mission of Jesus Christ—who said in Matthew 25:40, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

This commitment is not only ethical; it is biblical. True religion, as James 1:27 declares, is “to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.” Helping the poor is not a sideline to ministry—it is central to it.

Building a Ministry with Eternal Purpose

While the majority of donations will serve the immediate and practical needs of the poor, a smaller percentage—approximately 30% to 40%—will be designated to build and grow a ministry rooted in truth, spiritual power, and obedience to God. And towards necessities, and expenses, ie, bills, etc.

This ministry will not be built on entertainment, tradition, or emotional manipulation. It will be based on doctrine, the Word of God, prayer, spiritual warfare, and discipleship. It will teach believers how to worship God in spirit and in truth, just as Jesus commanded in John 4:24. It will help people break free from religious systems that lack spiritual power and draw them into a deeper relationship with the living God based of following and submitting to his doctrine and word..

Some of the funds will be used to produce impactful and educational content such as:

  • Videos that teach biblical doctrine, spiritual warfare, end-time prophecy, and practical Christian living.
  • Books and written materials that equip believers to grow spiritually, overcome bondage, and live holy lives.
  • Audio teachings for those who prefer learning on the go, offering Bible-based encouragement and instruction.
  • Live teachings and online fellowships for spiritual connection and accountability.

This will not be a ministry about building my own name—it will be about building the Kingdom of God and pointing people to Jesus Christ, the only Savior and Lord. As more people are drawn to the truth, they too will be taught to give, serve, and live lives that glorify God.

The Future Vision: The End Time Church of God (ECG)

As this mission grows, all donations and organizational operations will eventually transition under a formal structure—The End Time Church of God (ECG).

The ECG will be a biblically, sound doctrine based, spirit-filled, transparent body of believers focused on preparing souls for the return of Jesus Christ. In a time when many churches have compromised or gone lukewarm, the ECG will stand firmly on the ten commandments, Word of God and operate in love, power, and integrity.

It will be a church not defined by buildings, but by purpose.

Not ruled by titles, but by servant leadership.

Not obsessed with numbers, but with faithfulness to God and his word.

This transition will ensure long-term sustainability, legal structure, spiritual accountability, and wider reach. It will also protect the integrity of the mission and the proper stewardship of every dollar received.

Transparency and Accountability

Transparency will be a cornerstone of this mission. In an era of growing mistrust in religious and charitable institutions, I want to restore trust by making all financial records public.

Each year, detailed expenditure reports will be posted on the official ministry website. These reports will show:

  • How much money was donated
  • Exactly where and how the funds were distributed
  • How much was used for helping the poor
  • How much was used for ministry growth
  • Updates on ministry projects and goals

Nothing will be hidden. Those who give will never be left wondering where their money went. This is not about manipulation or vague promises—it is about faithful stewardship and honoring both God and the donors.

It’s important to note that donations will be paid to me directly, at least in the early stages of this work. However, I pledge and commit before God and man that every dollar will be used for its intended purpose: to help the poor and expand the ministry. The goal is not enrichment, but empowerment—empowering the poor, the broken, and the spiritually hungry with the resources they need to thrive and grow spiritually.

As the organization grows and formal nonprofit status is obtained under the End Time Church of God, this structure will shift to ensure further financial oversight and accountability.

Why This Matters

Some may ask, “Why should I give? I don’t have much.” The answer is simple: every gift matters. Whether it’s $1, $10, or $10,000, it all goes to a cause greater than any one person. It goes to:

  • Feed hungry children and families
  • Clothe the homeless
  • Help those in crisis
  • Spread the Gospel
  • Bring people to Christ
  • Disciple believers
  • Create resources that last generations

God often uses the little things to create a big impact. Just as the widow’s two small coins were noticed and praised by Jesus (Luke 21:1-4), so too are your gifts seen by God, and they have eternal reward.

Even if you cannot give, your prayers and support are just as valuable. Together, we are building something that goes beyond today. We are sowing into eternal harvests.

Teaching People to Tap Into God’s Power

One unique aspect of this ministry will be teaching people how to not only know about God, but how to experience His power, wisdom, and presence in their daily lives. This isn’t about dead religion—it’s about a living relationship with the great God and his son Jesus Christ.

Many people go to church every week but never experience transformation, healing, or spiritual growth. This ministry will teach believers how to:

  • Pray effectively and biblically
  • Follow the Doctrine of God.
  • Walk in the gifts and fruit of the Spirit
  • Hear God’s voice
  • Break generational curses and spiritual strongholds
  • Live in obedience and victory
  • Evangelize with boldness and truth

This teaching will be made available to all, freely or at very low cost, to ensure that finances are never a barrier to spiritual growth.

Final Thoughts: A Call to Join the Mission

This mission is not just mine—it’s something I believe God is inviting you to be a part of.

The world is getting darker. Poverty is increasing. Deception is rising. The return of Christ is nearer than ever before.

But we are not helpless. We can do something. We can be the hands and feet of Jesus in a broken world.

Your donation, your prayers, your support—no matter how small—can change lives. When you give, you’re not just writing a check. You’re:

  • Providing hope to the hopeless
  • Sharing Christ with the lost
  • Feeding the hungry
  • Empowering the poor
  • Strengthening the Church

As this ministry grows and evolves into the End Time Church of God, everything we build today lays the foundation for what God will do tomorrow. It starts with obedience, humility, and generosity.

And it starts now.

If God places it on your heart to give, I welcome your support. If you need prayer, I am here. If you want to learn more, I will continue to share updates and insights regularly.

Let us partner together in this holy mission—to help the poor, spread the Gospel, and prepare the way for the Lord. May God bless you for your obedience, generosity, your prayers, and your faith.

Sincerely

Donald Bohanon
