Q&A: Why Do You Say ‘You Know’ Often When You Speak?

Question: Why Do You Say ‘You Know’ Often When You Speak?

Donald Bohanon: I try to talk in a way that all people can relate to, so I use the term “you know’ as a way to try to connect to people on all social levels and speak in a way most can relate to. But I am also guilty of getting a little too emotional at times, and talking a little too fast at times, which causes me to trip over my words on occasion, so those things can be misconstrued as the inability to deliver my message more effectively by some.

But I’m not really so much focused on a perfectly delivered message, but more so on delivering accuracy, truth, authenticity, and substance, instead. I could certainly do the audios over for a more perfect delivery, but that is not my primary focus.

I’m reaching people, and that is the most important thing. And they can certainly relate to how I speak and understand what I say. I have my own traffic trackers that show the traffic as being very respectable and growing consistently, and that’s what’s most important. I’m reaching people, and they are loving the content and embracing the truth in the message, and that is the goal and what’s most important. Not so much a perfect delivery every time I create an audio.
