Question: Does God Command His Servants To Expose Evil?
Donald Bohanon: Yes. The Bible says in Ephesian 5:10-13 we are not to fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but we are to reprove/expose them. It goes as far as saying whatever is exposed/reproved is made manifest/ revealed by the light and whatever reveals is the light. Nowhere in the Bible does it command us not to expose evil and anyone who is saying that is not being honest and is a false representative of Christ.
Christ tells us is Matthew 10:27 that what he tells us in the dark to speak in the light and what we hear in the ear from Christs word and his ministers to shout from the housetops. There are many who now claim that we are not to expose evil probably because to do so would mean we would have to expose their evil also so they certainly wouldn’t want that to happen.
But the Bible is absolutely clear that we are to expose evil. In fact it commands us to expose evil and to judge as well contrary to popular belief. There are many other verses in scripture that command us to expose evil as well. I have covered most of this in previous Q&As.
Ephesians 5:10-13 King James Version
10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
Matthew 10:27 King James Version
27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.
