My Site Was Down For A Couple Of Days.

The Hosting company claimed there was an extreme load on the server so much much so that it was causing other shared servers to slow and risked shutting down the whole system so they had to suspend the service until the issue was resolved. So they granted a 12 hr access window to the site for me to resolve the issue. I performed some tasks that I felt would resolve the issue which ultimately proved effective at resolving the issue.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. But I also felt they should have notified me in advance as opposed to just suspending the service. I informed them that after examining the site to see if there were any issues if I didn’t find any issues I would see what legal actions could be taken.

I explained to them that for all I know it could be a contrived and or orchestrated issue created as a way to try to shut my site down. Fortunately the issue was resolved as a result of some actions I took. But I still have my eye on the company and informed them that I would not tolerate any type of unethical, unprofessional, malicious, biased, or irresponsible actions as a way to shut my site down and if I felt that were the case I would see what legal actions could be taken and move forward.

Strangely enough they claimed the issue had been resolved and was no longer effecting the servers after I had implemented a few simple but I guess you can say effective steps to rectify the situation. I’m still not altogether sure though if this was a legitimate issue or just a contrived one. But to be fair there has been a major uptick in traffic to the site which could have resulted in the increased server load. I’m watching.
