Or makeup excuses to avoid submitting to it. If you call speaking the truth as the bible supports it, “exalting oneself”.. I’m not sure what you call humility?<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I submit to you, that taking scripture out of context to justify behavior that is clearly condemned by the bible is a form of self glorification and self exaltation motivated by an evil selfish agenda.To abase oneself is humbling oneself before God. And that is no more profoundly expressed than by complete obedience to God and his word. Not resisting God’s word and reading into it what you want to and taking it out context.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n

That is an example of satanic pride in it’s purest form. I agree wholeheartedly with and follow Luke 18:10-14. If you knew God’s word and are listening to what I’m saying and are validating it with God’s word you would clearly see that. <\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n

Many people misinterpret that verse. What Christ is trying to get you to see, more importantly than the parable, is the point he is trying to make by using the parable.And that is to be humble and obedient to all of God’s instruction. Which he emphasizes and expounds on at the end of the parable and verse.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n

He is emphasizing more importantly the pride and hypocrisy of the Pharisee.Something he regularly condemned as I already outlined in a previous Q&A. Tithing and fasting is something the Pharisee and the Scribe often boasted about.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n

But disregarded the weightier matters of the law. What Christ is trying to point out is the weightier matters of the law should be practiced as well, like love, judgment and faith.And that is no more profoundly expressed than by complete obedience to God and his word, not just by fasting and tithing.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n

Which are just aspects of the word, but not the word of God as whole.The word of God\/ the bible, which regularly expounds on the importance of developing godly humility as well. Once again which is developed by complete obedience to all of God’s instruction, not just by tithing and fasting.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
