including three children &#8211; are dead after a transgender female shooter opened fire at a private school in Nashville, killing three nine-year-old children and three staff members.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The shooter was 28-year-old Audrey Hale, who at one time attended the school.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police said she identified as transgender, and online profiles show Audrey used &#8216;he\/him&#8217; Police say all of the doors were locked.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police arrived at the scene and heard the gunshots coming from the 2nd floor.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By 10,.27am, she had been shot dead.&nbsp;She was armed with two assault-style rifles and a handgun.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parents have been told to collect their children from a nearby church, but no other information has been given.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8216;I know this is probably the worst day of everyone&#8217;s lives.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8216;I can\u2019t tell you how sympathetic we are,&#8217; a Metro Police officer was heard telling the parents as they waited at a nearby church for updates.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Neighbors of the school watched as parents frantically rushed to the scene to find their Seeing all the parents run up the hill to see if their children are okay,&#8217; Lisa Debusk told DailyMail.com.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Susan Perkins, 68, told DailyMail.com that her daughter and step-grandson were in the school at the time of the shooting, and unhurt.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her daughter is a communications director and her step-grandson is a sixth grade student.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018I talked to my daughter and she was so busy she just couldn\u2019t talk, just enough to say she was okay,\u2019 said the mother, who lives in Knoxville, TN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018I\u2019m just shaking with fear and so sorry that this happened,\u2019 she said. \u2018I just can\u2019t hardly believe that three children got killed.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She described Covenant School as a small, tightknit, Christian school where everyone knows and supports each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018I did not think it would ever hap to my school and I would like to see the guns off the street,\u2019 Perkins said.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"404\" width=\"634\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/03\/27\/17\/69167665-11907711-image-m-28_1679934886025.jpg\" alt=\"Terrified parents wait for their kids at The Covenant School in Nashville.
